When people see that the ending of story that turns out that evil won, Im sure they are passing disappointed, curiously in a series and that happens. I would provoke to say the reason that is because people feel a strong connection to the good characters and would like to see them defeat evil. Everybody loves good, unless youre evil, and who doesnt love a happy ending? Good has always proven to come out on top of the inning and there is a Beowulf in ev ery story.
